Justin Taft is an expert in helping commercial entities develop strategies and plans to expand in existing markets and enter into new ones. He is a leading expert on the Federal cyber security market.
Prior to founding The Soter Group, Mr. Taft was a Principal at the Civitas Group where he focused on market research and commercial strategy development, specializing in cyber security and critical infrastructure protection. In addition, he assisted both private and public sector clients on homeland security initiatives ranging from Cabinet-level homeland security tabletop exercises to vulnerability assessments to market assessments to merger and acquisition target selection and due diligence support. Prior to the Civitas Group, Mr. Taft worked for Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc., where he served as a consultant to the Department of Homeland Security's Office of Infrastructure Protection in the areas of risk management, critical infrastructure protection, bombing prevention, cyber security, and outreach and awareness.
Before consulting to the Department of Homeland Security, Mr. Taft was an analyst for the President's Critical Infrastructure Protection Board and the Homeland Security Council in the areas of critical infrastructure protection and cyber security. He has also served as a financial analyst at Arthur Andersen in the valuation practice, where he focused on the information technology and telecommunications sectors, as well as a financial analyst for SunTrust Bank.
Mr. Taft is a minority owner of both the NFL's Green Bay Packers and the Premiere League's Manchester United.
He has a M.S. in E-commerce from George Mason University and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia.
